Real Time dynamometers employ the "ARTIC" (Adaptive Real Time Instruments Control). Two basic versions of the "ARTIC" are available. One version, "ARTIC-1". employs the computer plus a separate "I/O Buffer Box". The other version, "ARTIC-2", incorporates the primary functions of the I/O Buffer Box on a custom PCB that is mounted into the computer itself. Thus, the ARTIC-2 is more compact, while offering nearly all the features of the ARTIC-1.The two ARTIC versions provide very similar user-interfaces, with color graphics and easy-to-follow menu structure.
