Real Time Dynamometers created its first computerized dynamometer control system in the 1980's, and quickly became a pioneer and world leader in electric inertia simulation for chassis dynamometers. Since those years, Real Time has developed many other dynamometer-related products and has generated a long list of satisfied customers.
Our products now include complete chassis dynamometers for a variety of vehicles (e.g., motorcycles, 2WD and 4WD cars and trucks, ATV's, experimental vehicles). These dynamometers have a variety of roll configurations depending on the requirements of the customer (e.g., twin-roll systems with roll diameters up to about 20", large single-roll systems with roll diameters of 48" and higher, multi-absorber systems with independent power absorption at each wheel, and many others). Our power absorber of choice is the AC induction motor, controlled by a variable-speed IGBT vector drive. Our products also include engine dynamometers and dynamometer testers. The dynamometer testers will tell you how accurately your chassis dynamometer is simulating road load and inertia.
We are still highly-regarded specialists in chassis dynamometer control systems, and are routinely asked to replace or upgrade an existing or outdated controller with a new state-of-the-art Real Time dynamometer controller.
